Ludovicus Magnus Fran. et Nay. Rex P.P,/1678./Monument a la Gloire du Roy dams 1’Hotel de Ville de Troyes./S.le Clerc fecit. Right profile in lettered circle forming upper center of tomb monument. Seven coins lettered: "Splendor, Libertas, lussit quiescere, Principis Leges, Vincta Haeresis.” Under seven lines of eulogy: "F.Girardon sculpteur ord.re du Roi a fait cette medaille avec tous/ses acompagnem de marbre et l’a donnée a la ville de Troyes comne/une marq.e de son zele p.r la gloire de son Prince et l’amo.r qu’il a p.r sa Patrie.” Engraving. 21.0 X 14.1 cm. Trimmed close to plate-mark.
