Description
Roger Mennevée was a researcher, journalist, editor and publisher of a private newsletter: Les Documents Politiques, Diplomatiques et Financiers. The archive was assembled by Mr. Mennevée from the more than 50 years of extensive research in the preparation of his newsletter. The majority of the collection was obtained in 1965, while the rest was donated in 1969, on the occasion of Mennevée's retirement. As a collection of research items, the Mennevée archive is an exhaustive mine of information which documents social, political, economic and artistic life in France between 1910 and 1969.
Background
Roger Mennevée was a researcher, journalist, editor and publisher of a private newsletter: Les Documents Politiques, Diplomatiques et Financiers. Les Documents was widely considered, in academic circles, to be one of the best informed newsletters of its kind. The archive was assembled by Mr. Mennevée from the more than 50 years of extensive research in the preparation of his newsletter. The majority of the collection was obtained in 1965, while the rest was donated in 1969, on the occasion of Mennevée's retirement.
