The Castro Country Club (CCC) was founded in 1983 in San Francisco, California as a sober gathering place for the queer recovery community. The club includes a cafe and a meeting room which hosts various meetings for 12-step and other recovery groups. The organization’s programs also include social and peer events, job training and skills building, and community arts. CCC’s collection includes posters, fliers, ephemera, and photographs, including many images from the club’s memorial wall. The collection also includes board and administrative materials, agendas, awards, and newsletters. There is also material related to the adjacent but unaffiliated Jaguar adult bookstore.
