Scope and content:

This series contains flyers from the Bay Area, greater Los Angeles and Southern California, and beyond advertising punk shows and events at various venues. These flyers are primarily from the early to mid 1980's and showcase punk bands such as The Dead Kennedys, Black Flag, Circle Jerks, and Social Distortion, as well as punk venues like On Broadway, the Old Waldorf, and Mabuhay (Fab Mab), and Whiskey A Go Go. The flyers convey art typical of the punk era. Notes have been added to each folder outlining concert information included on the flyers. Flyers advertising forthcoming zine issues for The Ekletktik and Thursday's Children are also included.
