of Diplomacy at the University of Transkei (UNITRA), which aimed to train black diplomats in a post-Apartheid South Africa.
UNITRA is now a part of Walter Sisulu University.

Citizens Energy Corporation is a 501(c)(4) non-profit founded by Joseph Patrick Kennedy II that uses revenues from commmercial
enterprises to fund various charitable programs to assist the poor and elderly in the United States and internationally. One
of their main activities entailed purchasing crude oil agreements with petroleum-producing nations such as Ecuador, Nigeria
and Angola, and using the profits to reduce the cost of home heating oil for the poor and elderly. Bender provided consultation
for their negotiations with Angola.

Biographical / Historical
James Albert Tillman Jr. was a professor who researched and wrote about anti-black racism and its affect on housing, poverty,
and education. He served as the executive director of Crusade for Opportunity, an antipoverty program for Syracuse and Onodaga
County, NY, until 1967, and was the exectuive director of the Greater Minneapolis Interfaith Fair Housing program from 1959
to 1965. The latter organization aimed to combat racism against black and minority tenants and home buyers. Mary Norman Tillman
conducted similar research and collaborated with James on various publications and studies.

J. Bender papers in its current state, but it is useful for getting a general idea of the types of publications that Bender
collected and some of the categories that he used to organize his research.
