Description
Correspondence of Christian S. Wenger, who worked as an obstetrician at United States Naval Hospitals during World War II. Letters are primarily to Wenger's parents, and describe his work in California and Mississippi between 1944 and 1946, as well as his college years and young married life between 1931 and 1939.
Background
Christian S. Wegner was from Ephrata, Pennsylvania, and attended Juniata College in Huntingdon, Pennsylvania. After joining the United States Navy he worked as an obstetrician at Naval Hospitals in Southern California and Mississippi during World War II.
