There is also a series of letters from 1939 detailing a trip Wenger took with his wife Helen, describing their impressions of Banff, Canada; Mexico City, Yellowstone, Yosemite, and parts of California, as well as the activities of their children.

Letters from 1944 to 1946 detail Wenger's work as an obstetrician at United States Naval Hospitals in California and Mississippi during World War II, including conditions in the hospitals, some of his patients' difficulties with childbirth, and his own struggles with overwork, depression, and homesickness.
