Scope and Contents

This file contains correspondence from Willie Bunk Johnson to Burt Bales regarding integration of the musicians' union, musical prospects, travel plans, and the possibility of Bales and Johnson playing together again.
It also includes correspondence from 2nd Lt. Karl Gertenhouse, Miriam B. Compton, Mildred Beck, Lester Koenig, Thomas Jancosek, Howard Skinner, Earl Saxton, Estelle Caen, Richard Hadlock, Bob Reed, Pat Casey, Paul Larson, and others.
There is additionally a small amount of photographs and newspaper clippings.
