The Judith M. Hitzeman photographs, 1991, 2001, (SAFR 23148, P00-005) are comprised of photographs taken by Judith M. Hitzeman in San Francisco, California, of herring fishing activities at the Fort Mason Center and the First Annual McCovey Cove Regatta at China Basin. Judith "Judy" M. Hitzeman (1953-) served as the Museum Curator (Registrar) at the San Francisco Maritime National Historical Park from 1990 until her retirement in December 2011. She was previously employed as a Museum Specialist (Registrar) at the Western Archeological and Conservation Center (1988-1990) and a Museum Technician (Curator) at the Fort Davis National Historical Site (1983-1988). She is married to John Conway, former shipwright at San Francisco Maritime National Historical Park.
