    Scope and Contents

    The Weatherwax Gasoline Motor and Auto Accessory Company Papers contains correspondence, stock certificates, and legal documents related to financing and patenting the creation of an improved gasoline motor. A.L. Harris, the company's secretary and treasurer, is author of the bulk of the correspondence. The Papers also contains Harris' obituary and an article on a meteorite fall near Holbrook, Arizona.

    Historical Note

    The Weatherwax Gasoline Motor and Auto Accessory Company was incorported in 1914. Its principle place of business was Phoenix, Arizona, although the prototyping of the Company's gasoline motor occured in Los Angeles, California.
