[Approx. 200 leaves], w/ over 270 photographs preserved in archival mylar sleeves, sized from 2.5 x 2.5 in. up to 8 x 10 in.,
some clipped and mounted for camera-ready copy, others marked w/ grease pencil markings in margins, or on image, others blocked
out in white, in preparation for engraving plate, many w/ pencil and/or ink annotations on versos, others w/in negative, many
w/ photographer's stamps on versos, and the majority feature the label, or stamp for the Beaver Engraving Co.; two 4 x 5 in.
film negatives, many different pieces of letterhead for coop, envelopes, press releases, assorted original advertising and
camera-ready advertising and promotional art for the co-op, assorted ads.

Abstract: The advertising archive offers essential visual and primary documentation of the Pacific Cooperative Poultry Producers (PCPP)
and Pacific Egg Producers (PEP) cooperative which drew upon at least 50,000 family poultry farmers and egg producers across
the Pacific Northwest and California.

Advertising archive of two volumes with over 270 photographs offers essential visual and primary documentation of the Pacific
Cooperative Poultry Producers (PCPP) and Pacific Egg Producers (PEP) cooperative. These cooperatives proved essential for
Oregon and Washington farm families through the Great Depression as they allowed them to continue marketing their eggs and
farm products profitably. These photographs show the individual Oregon and Pacific Northwest farmer egg laying barns, brooder
pens, families collecting the eggs into wire baskets, along with a variety of other farm facilities, and equipment. In addition,
the camera-ready photographic ads show young girls with flats of baby chicks, the Coop's bulk feed factories, warehouses,
sample covers of the coop weekly "The Eggsaminer," cooking promotions, contests, State Fair prize ceremonies and more.
