The collection contains the typescript of the unpublished memoir of Jan Triska, titled
Caught Up In History, which relates to conditions in Czechoslovakia and post-World War II immigration to the United States.. Triska was a a Czech
émigré and professor of political science at Stanford University. The memoir documents Triska's life in Europe before arriving
at Stanford.
