Description
The collection includes manuscripts, research notes, illustrations, and other material pertaining to Jack Harness, an American Science Fiction and Fantasy fan and writer who was active in Los Angeles, California during the 1970's and 1980's. Includes stories and poetry by Jack Harness and other authors including Mike Shupp and Sylvia Stevens as well as written commentary and research notes that pertain to Harness' numerous manuscripts, poetry, and collaborative works. Different forms of visual imagery with an emphasis on illustration and costume design are also included.

Jack Harness was an American Science Fiction and Fantasy fan and writer who was active in Los Angeles, California during the 1970's and 1980's. He was a member of the Los Angeles Science Fantasy Society (LASFS) and an active participant in the fandom communities of Science Fiction and Fantasy.
