Description
This collection contains articles, biographical essays, slides, notes and other materials from Homer Aschmann's tenure as professor in the Geography department at the University of California, Riverside. The bulk of the collection consists of reprints of articles by various experts in the field of geography. Many of the reprints include the author's signature as well as a personal message written to Aschmann.
Background
Harold Homer Aschmann was a professor in the department of Geography at the University of California, Riverside. He was one of the founding faculty members at UCR, beginning his career the year the school opened in 1954. He spent the entirety of his academic tenure here, before retiring in 1988.
