Biographical / Historical
Joseph Danner Taylor (1830-1899) was a lawyer of Cambridge, Guernsey County, Ohio. He was also a Republican politician, and
an Ohio state representative in the Forty-seventh, Forty-eighth, Fiftieth, and Fifty-second Congresses, from 1883 to 1893.
Scope and Contents
Personal correspondence of Joseph Danner Taylor, chiefly correspondence with his wife Elizabeth A. Hill Taylor and her correspondence
with her father, brothers, and sisters in North Berwick, Maine. The letters discuss primarily family and personal matters,
with some information on Taylor's legal cases.
