This series chronicles the rise of jukebox manufacturers, including companies such as Wurlitzer and RCA Victor. This series spans the dates 1925 through 1995, with the bulk spanning 1940 through 1980. It contains mostly manufacturing and promotional literature in the following formats: catalogs, service manuals, advertisements, sales manuals, photographs, correspondence, newspaper clippings, and other materials.

The Howe collection is arranged according to the original order imposed by the indexes compiled by the collector; therefore, the arrangement reflects the donor's organizational schema. The arrangement is alphabetical and chronological.

Parent restrictions:
Open for research; material must be requested at least two business days in advance of intended use. Contact the Archive of Recorded Sound for assistance. Some of the bound volumes are fragile and may require special care during handling.
