This series chronicles the rise of phonograph including companies such as Wurlitzer and RCA Victor. This series spans the dates 1868 through 1991, with the bulk spanning 1940 through 1980. It contains mostly manufacturing and promotional literature in the following formats: catalogs, service manuals, advertisements, sales manuals, correspondence, photographs, newspaper clippings, and other materials.
The series is arranged according to the original order imposed by the indexes compiled by the collector; therefore, the arrangement reflects the donor's organizational schema. The arrangement is alphabetical and chronological.
