    Gift of Roy Bateman, on behalf of the County of Marin, in January 2006 and September 2008.

    Biography/Administrative History

    The Advisory Commission was established in 1987 to advise the Marin County Department of Health and Human Services and Board of Supervisors on the development, implementation and coordination of previous hit AIDS next hit programs and other concerns related to HIV.

    Scope and Content of Collection

    This collection contains records produced by the Marin County previous hit AIDS next hit Advisory Commission (MAAC) and documents one aspect of the county’s official response to previous hit AIDS next hit . The collection includes organizational records; correspondence and memos; meeting agendas and minutes for various committees; reports; subject files; ephemera; and clippings. Of particular interest are the records produced by the Marin County previous hit AIDS next hit Task Force, which was formed in 1985 in response to the growing previous hit AIDS next hit epidemic in Marin.
