    Scope and Content of Collection

    This collection contains materials related to the homophile organization Society for Individual Rights (SIR) from the 1960s and 1970s. Records include articles of incorporation, by-laws and a constitution; a bibliography on homosexuality compiled by William Parker; directional reports; financial records; flyers; an information packet for E.C.H.O. (East Coast Homophile Organizations); mass mailings; materials related to the Religious Committee and the Bay Area Prison Coalition; meeting minutes; pamphlets from the Essays on Homosexuality series; press releases; and programs from shows, including the Sirlebrity Capades.
