Description
Collection consists of files related to the career of UCLA faculty member and television producer Darrell Ross.
Background
Darrell Ross was born in Berkeley, California, on October 15, 1911. Received AB, Stanford University (1933) and MFA, Yale University (1936). Ross started his career in television circa 1948 working for Don Lee Mutual Television. Worked for the American Broadcasting Company (1950-53) before moving to the National Broadcasting Company (1954-61) where he worked on various productions including Hallmark hall of fame, the Shirley Temple show, and Matinee theater, among others. He began his association with UCLA in the Department of Theater Arts (1961) and was head of the Television-Radio Division (1964-66).
