Description
The Diversity Center of Santa Cruz Trailblazers collection consists of a broad range of materials that pertain to LGBTQ activism
in the Santa Cruz area of California. This collection was amassed as part of a public history project initiated on behalf
of the Diversity Center in order to preserve and document local Queer histories in Santa Cruz. Dating from roughly 1974 to
2018, this collection contains local publications, photographs, magazines, posters, buttons, audio cassettes, manuscripts,
oral history video files, and ephemera that trace the trajectory of the LGBTQ+ community in the region. This collection and
the oral history files were funded by a grant from the Santa Cruz Museum of Art and History's Dolkas History Forum.
