This collection includes carbon copies of typed manuscripts by Genung recounting his experiences in the 1860s and 1870s.

The collection includes the following titles:

  • "About my experience with the Colorado Indian Reservation and the Apaches" circa 1866-1868
  • "How he came to be a Hassayamper". Story of how Genung got to Arizona
  • "Account of T. L. Lambertson and his wife's life pioneering in Arizona" 1860s, Walnut Grove area of Yavapai County
  • Chris Lobenheimer's loan to Genung; Genung's dealings with Levy Bashford and Genung's distillery
  • "My first Year in Arizona"
  • "Recollections of an Arizona pioneer of the 60's and 70's. Apache Campaign under Lieutenant Morton with Hi Jolley as guide"
  • "Henry Wickenburg's experiences with cattle and the Vulture gold mine"
