Includes radio broadcast transcripts, 1947-1952; correspondence, 1948-1953; sound tape reel recordings of radio broadcasts, 1950-1952, sound disc recordings of ten songs; photographs; and other items relating to the King's Four Quartet.

Biographical / historical:

The King's Four Quartet was a male gospel quartet founded in 1947 in Reedley, California. Its members were Franklin Martens, Samuel Wall, Elias Wiebe and Joel Wiebe. Accompanists included Pat Wood and Mary Jane Boldt. The quartet produced radio programs that were broadcast on stations KRDU in Dinuba, KTKC in Visalia, and KFRE in Fresno. They also produced a German-language program broadcast on station HCJB in Quito, Ecuador.
