    Abstract: Denne Petitclerc met Ernest Hemingway while Peticlerc was working as a reporter for a Miami, Florida newspaper. Four personal letters from Hemingway were donated to the Ruben Salazar Library in 1969 by Petitclerc. They are from a correspondence Petitclerc held with Hemingway in the late 1950s. The four letters, written from Europe and Cuba on hotel stationary, are replies to previous letters from Petitclerc.
