Description
The collection consists of 19 letters
sent between Raymond Gleason, his mother (T.M. Gleason), future wife (Ida Gravenow), and
friend (Z. Bojanie), while serving overseas in the US Navy during World War I. The
correspondence begins in 1916 with the bulk of letters written while Mr. Gleason was on the
Mediterranean Ocean from 1918-1919. T.M. Gleason and Ida Gravenow resided in Racine,
Wisconsin.
