The collection consists of 26 VHS videocassettes, comprising the complete series entitled "Mastering the College Experience," a television program produced by Coastline Community College in Fountain Valley, California, for KOCE-TV, the primary Public Broadcasting Service (PBS) member station for Los Angeles and Southern California. The series documents the experiences of a diverse group of University of California, Irvine students as they progress through a year of classes from 1998-1999 and is based on a Houghton-Mifflin textbook of the same name.
