Description
This collection contains records of cases brought before the Recorder's Court of the City of Santa Rosa, California.
Background
The Santa Rosa Recorder's Court was a municipal-level court that handled misdemeanor offenses. The Santa Rosa Court came under the jurisdiction of the Sonoma County Municipal Court following court reorganization and consolidation. The Sonoma County Municipal Court was itself absorbed into the Superior Court following the voter-authorized reorganization in 1998, California Proposition 220.
