The files in this collection contain materials about the life of investigative reporter Alice Yarish, letters to news editors of television and Bay Area newspapers, notes and correspondence, and newspaper clippings of articles by Yarish and other reporters about drug abuse, California State prisons in particular San Quentin, inmates George Jackson, Larry Justice, Billy Gibson, and Caryl Chessman, gun control, hippies, Synanon, and welfare.
