Background
Tatiana de Fidler is an artist descended from two prominent Russian families: Mamontov and Morozov, both of which were wealthy
merchant clans in pre-revolutionary Russia. De Fidler's father was an educator and her mother a musician; both escaped the
USSR (her mother under the protection of Soviet leader Avel Enukidze).
