Scope and content:

This collection consists of the realia, papers, and books of American film critic and film historian Leonard Maltin. This realia includes film related items that Maltin was given throughout his career, including advance release VHS tapes, booklets, books, CDs, stuffed animals, toys, hats, DVDs, and souvenirs. Also included in this collection are cassettes of Maltin's radio appearances, zines, magazines, correspondences, and clippings.

Biographical / historical:

Leonard Maltin (born 1950) is an American film critic and film historian. He has written books on cinema and movie reviews, as well as articles for newspapers, journals, and magazines. He has appeared on a number of radio shows, animated shows, podcasts, and television shows. Maltin teaches in the School of Cinematic Arts at the University of Southern California.
