This collection includes recorded television interviews belonging to American film and stage producer Allan Carr (1937-1999). Interviews of Carr and celebrities he represented are present on various U-matic and VHS tapes. Materials also include books for film adaptation.
- Biographical / historical:

Allan Carr (1937-1999) was an American producer and manager for Broadway and film. Through the years, he became known as a great planner of promotional events and lavish parties, which led him to shift from producing film ad-campaigns to orchestrating star-studded movie premiere television specials. In 1966 he founded the talent agency Allan Carr Enterprises, managing such actors as Tony Curtis, Peter Sellers, and Marlo Thomas. Carr is also credited for discovering numerous celebrities including Olivia Newton-John, Mark Hamill, and Michelle Pfeiffer. Carr's film producing credits include Grease (1978), Can't Stop the Music (1980), and Grease 2. Carr's Broadway producing credits include Grease, and La Cage aux Folles.
