This collection consists of two accessions: one that covers the Juliette and Jean Logerais time in Vietnam and the other their
time in Morocco.
Jean and Juliette Logerais married in early 1899 and set sail for Tonkin, Vietnam, in April or May 1899. Doctor Jean Logerais
worked in French military hospitals in Yen Bai (Yen Bai province, northern central Vietnam), Coc Leu (Lao Kai province, northwestern
Vietnam), and Quang Yen (Quang Ninh province, northeastern Vietnam) in 1899-1901, shortly after the region had been subdued
by French authorities in the course of the Pacification of Tonkin (1886-1896).
