Description
This collection contains material amassed by Erik Bauersfeld relating to his work with the
Bay Area Radio Drama (BARD) organization dating from 1961-2016. Included are organizational
records, reseach materials, correspondence, scripts and sound and moving image recordings of
various BARD productons.
Background
The Bay Area Radio Drama (BARD) was established as a nonprofit organization in 1987 by Erik
Bauersfeld with funding from the National Endowment for the Arts and other national and
international sources. BARD has worked in close association with KPFA-FM, in Berkeley,
California, where Bauersfeld, was Director of Drama and Literature from 1961-1992.
