Abstract: The collection comprises the records of Nancy Minear, former Research and Evaluation Director in the Office of the Vice Chancellor,
Student Affairs, at the University of California, Irvine. Minear attended UC Irvine for both her undergraduate and graduate
studies, including a PhD in Social Sciences in 1997, and worked closely with Vice Chancellor, Student Affairs Manuel Gomez.
The records include Minear's research materials regarding race relations, student retention and enrollment data, admissions,
mental health, health insurance, student organizations, student diversity, and Jewish-Muslim relations on campus.

Collection Scope and Content Summary
The collection comprises the records of Nancy Minear, former Research and Evaluation Director in the Office of the Vice Chancellor,
Student Affairs, at the University of California, Irvine. Minear attended UC Irvine for both her undergraduate and graduate
studies, including a PhD in Social Sciences in 1997, and worked closely with Vice Chancellor, Student Affairs Manuel Gomez.
The records include Minear's research materials regarding race relations, student retention and enrollment data, admissions,
mental health, health insurance, student organizations, student diversity, and Jewish-Muslim relations on campus. Much of
the material in the collection was given to or written by Gomez and filed by Minear as part of her position within Student
Affairs. This collection also includes one folder of photographs and administrative information on the anteater sculptures
commissioned in 2006 by artist Edward Hlavka. There is one CD titled UCI Anteaters Sculpture. It contains images of the sculpture
by Hlavka.
