This collection includes leather community friendship, bike club, and bar anniversary pins, collected by Pennington; mailers, flyers, programs, and posters documenting gay and leather bars, discos, and nightlife events in San Francisco; leather community and organization newsletters; records documenting Pennington’s participation in GLOBE, an organization for LGBT employees of the Environmental Protection Agency Region 9; ephemera related to the Briggs Initiative; meeting minutes, flyers, and other materials stemming from Pennington’s participation in civil disobedience actions to stop the AIDS crisis; publications related to gay and leather communities in San Francisco; an a wooden “Golden Dildeaux” trophy awarded to Pennington’s partner, Philip Turner.
