Description
In April of 2020,
the Davis Downtown Business Association (DDBA) formed an art
subcommittee to launch and facilitate a communal art project that
would focus on how individuals and families were coping with the
COVID-19 pandemic and shelter-in-place mandate. The Davis
Downtown Community Art Project was one of the City of Davis's
more high profile responses to the COVID-19 pandemic, corralling
artistic and creative responses to life in quarantine from a wide
range of ages and a diversity of community members.
Background

serve as a testament to our community's resilience.

under chapter 17 of the U.S. Copyright Code. Requests for
permission to publish or quote from manuscripts must be submitted
in writing to the Head of Special Collections. Permission for
publication is given on behalf of the Regents of the University
of California as the owner of the physical items. It is not
intended to include or imply permission of the copyright holder,
which must also be obtained by the researcher.
