She was previously the provost at Stanford University and served as National Security Adviser and Secretary of State in the George W. Bush administration. In 2020 she was appointed Director of the Hoover Institution. Biographical / historical:

Born in 1954 in Birmingham, Alabama, Condoleezza Rice earned her Ph.D. in political science from the University of Denver in 1981. Thereafter she became a professor and provost at Stanford University before serving as National Security Adviser and Secretary of State in the George W. Bush administration. In 2020 she was appointed Director of the Hoover Institution.
