Abstract:
This collection consists of Honors Convocation invitations, programs, planning materials, and correspondence for the University
of San Diego Honors Convocation.

The University of San Diego Honors Convocation began as an awards ceremony in the College for Women to recognize student achievement.
Along with the merging of the College for Women and College for Men came the merging of the Honors Convocation. The ceremony
honored student achievement with awards going to students with the highest scholastic average, students ranking in the top
10% of their class, departmental honors, certificates, and scholarships.
Records dating 1961 to 1996 include Honors Convocation invitations and programs as well as planning materials for the Convocation,
correspondence regarding award recipients, and copies of letters sent recipients. Also included are some materials regarding
the Kappa Gamma Pi St. Catherine Medal award. After 1996, records solely include the Convocation program. Years 2004 and 2010
are currently missing from these records.
These records are arranged in chronological order.
