Description
Joyce Linden lived with her family on a 15 acre ranch in Northridge, California in the late 1940s and 1950s. The collection consists of items collected by Linden related to the history of the San Fernando Valley and her family's ranch in Northridge, including a Northridge land brochure, a label for the brochure written in 1960 which gives the history of the Linden's Northridge ranch, and ribbons won at the San Fernando Valley Fair in the 1950s by Vivien Linden.
Background
Joyce Linden lived in Northridge, California, on a ranch with her family. Her father, Irving Linden, purchased a 12 acre lot in Northridge in 1942, and in 1945 purchased the neighboring 3 acres which included a home where he moved his family. The property was later sold by the family to a developer.
