    Biographical / Historical

Emilio Aguinaldo y Famy (1869-1964) was a Filipino revolutionary, statesman, and military leader. He led Philippine forces first against Spain in the Philippine Revolution from 1896 to 1898, then in the Spanish-American War, 1898, and finally against the United States during the Philippine-American War from 1899 to 1901. Aguinaldo was also the first and youngest president of the Philippines from 1899 to 1901.

The collection consists of documents, military orders, instructions, appointments, and legal papers written in Spanish and Tagalog; the material is related to the Philippine military campaigns against Spain and the United States during the fight for independence.
