about poet Ruben Dario (1867-1916), a central Nicaraguan cultural figure, as well as the art and culture of Nicaragua.
This small collection contains four published items related to the Instituto Cultural Rubén Darío (Ruben Dario Cultural Foundation)
of Los Angeles, California. Materials consist of a booklet for a foundation event on August 22, 1998 ("Recuerdo de la Muestra:
'Libros Actuales de Nicaragua'"); a photocopy of an informational booklet about the Guatemala Expo '98; an informational booklet
titled "Pasaporte Cultural" about Rubén Darío and the foundation for the Guatemala Expo '98; and a compact disc " Poesías
… Juventud divino tesoro… Ruben Dario" distributed by Producciones Artísticas Nicaragüenses. The items were presented to the
librarian of the Boeckman Center for Iberian & Latin American Studies at the University of Southern California in 1998 by
the foundation's president, Aldo Guerra, to provide information about the activities of the group.
