    Biography

    There is very little information available about Alan J. Levitt. Levitt was a television writer whose credits include Julia, Maude, and Three's Company, among others. His work on All in the Family garnered him an Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Writing Achievement in Comedy, in 1972.

    Collection consists of materials related to television writer Alan J. Levitt. Inlcudes outlines, script drafts and revisions, treatments, and production information, ephemera, and audio cassettes of interviews. Among the projects represented in the collection are Julia , Maude , and Three's Company , among others.
