The Alliance for Lifelong Learning was a not-for-profit distance learning venture between Oxford, Stanford, and Yale Universities. The mission of the Alliance was to provide online courses and other educational offerings in the arts and sciences. Initially, the Alliance's programs were being offered to the combined alumni, family, and friends of the three universities.
The Alliance provided online courses and interactive seminars; multimedia programs; topical websites that include links to research information; live and taped coverage of campus speakers, exhibitions, and events; lectures on tape; and other offerings.
