Scope and content:

William Barber (1946-1992) was a gay poet, writer, and author of a series of gay pornographic novels, written under the name Billy Farout during the late 1960s and early 1970s. The manuscript is an anthology of poetry and novel excerpts, entitled โ€œThe โ€˜Hi Mom!โ€™ Collection,โ€ compiled by Barber for his friend Michael Millerโ€™s 35th birthday. The title page includes a handwritten dedication to Miller. The manuscript was gifted to the GLBT Historical Society by Wylie Wong, in memory of Michael Miller.
