    Scope and Contents

    This collection includes periodicals from nine previous hit surfing next hit magazines: Competition Surf, International previous hit Surfing next hit , Longboard, The Surfer, The Surfer's Journal, Surfer: The International previous hit Surfing next hit Magazine, previous hit Surfing next hit , previous hit Surfing next hit : previous hit Surfing next hit Action Around the World, and previous hit Surfing next hit Yearbook.
    Competition Surf only produced six periodicals during its short career. This collection contains one periodical from Competition Surf in 1966.
    The collection has periodicals from International previous hit Surfing next hit dating from 1965 to 1973. International previous hit Surfing next hit is a magazine that was started in California and bought out by a number of previous hit surfing next hit companies before it eventually was merged with previous hit Surfing next hit (below).
    The Surfer is the world's most widely sold magazine related to previous hit surfing next hit . It started in 1960 with quarterly releases, but due to its remarkable success the magazine quickly escalated to monthly issues. Recently, the magazine started releasing yearly specials as well, totaling thirteen periodical publciations per year. The Surfer is still in print and remains the most popular previous hit surfing next hit magazine in the world to date.
    The Surfer's Journal is a California-based bimonthly magazine that released its first issue in 1992. It is still in business today and is read globally.

    Of these magazines, only The Surfer and The Surfer's Journal are still independently in business. The other magazines were either discontinued or bought out by larger competition.
