    Biographical / Historical

    Ford Sterling (1882-1939) born George Ford Stich jr. in Wisconsin, he was an original member of the slapstick comedy team the Keystone Kops in silent films produced by Mack Sennet between 1912 and 1917. Sterling made the last of his more than two hundred and seventy film appearances in 1936.

    Scope and Contents

    Collection consists of the papers and photographs of American film actor Ford Sterling (1882-1939). Sterling's passport, divorce papers, and personal photographs are present along with business records associated with Ford Sterling Motion Picture Company.
