This folder contains geneology lists from Charles Geddes and his wife, Sarah Thompson Geddes. It also includes marriage licences, death certificates, and the posted obituary for Charles Geddes.

Biographical / historical:

Charles Geddes' father John Geddes moved from Northbritten, Scotland, to Musquodoboit, Nova Scotia, where he and his wife Dorothy Putnam had eleven children, Charles being the ninth. Charles and his wife Sarah Thompson were married in Massachussetts July 27th, 1852, and they moved to San Francisco, California in 1853, where Charles became a renowned architect. He and his wife had 6 children between 1853 and 1875. He died suddenly on December 3, 1903 from rheumatic heart trouble at the age of 83.
