J.D. Lobue is best known as a television director for situational comedies. The collection consists of one hundred-plus scripts for television comedies such as Hail to the Chief, Herman's Head, It's A Living, Mama's Boy, and Soap

At the time this finding aid was created there was limited biographical information available about J.D. Lobue. Lobue is best known for directing television situational comedies including The Fanelli Boys, Hail to the Chief, Herman's Head, It's A Living, Newhart, and Soap.
