Abstract: This collection consists of papers, speeches, and memorabilia of James Zumberge, former president of the University of Southern
California (1980-1991).

James Zumberge (1923-1992) was a professor of geology and ninth president of the University of Southern California from 1980
to 1991. Zumberge instituted a revenue-center management system while president of USC, where individual schools and units
were responsible for their own revenue and expenses.
This collection consists of papers, speeches, and memorabilia of James Zumberge, former president of the University of Southern
California (1980-1991).
