Description
This collection contains the papers of Canadian born television and Broadway producer Pierre Cossette (1923-2009). The collection includes scripts, stage designs, contracts, press releases, actor headshots and resumes, video tapes, budgets, the Grammy Awards, personal papers, and drafts of his book, Another Day In Showbiz: One Producer's Journey.
Background
Pierre Cossette (1923-2009) was a Canadian producer of television and Broadway theater. He began his television career in 1969, producing specials for Jose Feliciano and Dionne Warwick. Other notable productions include shows "Stand Up and Cheer" and "Sha Na Na", tv movie Alcatraz: The Whole Shocking Story, and the television broadcasts of the Grammy Awards, starting with the first televised in 1972 through the 50th annual in 2008. He was married to Mary Cossette.
