    Anna Jane Hardy went by "Jane." Jane Hardy lived in Dorset, Vermont and worked at the United Service Organization (USO) Club in Fredericksburg, Virginia as well as the USO Victory Club in Honolulu, Hawaii.

    Scope and Contents

    The collection consists of 15 letters Jane Hardy received between 1944-1946, and a 1944 newsletter titled GSO Tattler which mentions a going away party for Jane. The majority of the letters are from male soldiers and cover subjects ranging from religion, to their daily lives, to their feelings for Jane. There is also a letter from Jane's father. One letter from a soldier includes a photograph of a man with a squirrel on his shoulder.
